1. Return Eligibility
At Chitraka Fabrics, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. We offer a 7-day return and exchange policy from the date of delivery. To be eligible for a return, products must meet the following conditions:
- Product must be unused, unwashed, and in original condition
- Original tags and packaging must be intact
- No alterations, cuts, or stitching should be done
- Return request must be initiated within 7 days of delivery
2. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return or exchange:
- Custom-made or personalized Maggam work orders
- Products purchased during clearance or special discount sales (unless defective)
- Products that have been washed, altered, or worn
- Products with missing tags or packaging
- Innerwear, blouse pieces, or fabric cuts (due to hygiene reasons)
3. Defective or Damaged Products
If you receive a defective or damaged product, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photographs. We will:
- Provide a full refund or replacement at no extra cost
- Arrange for reverse pickup at our expense
- Process the refund within 5-7 business days of receiving the returned product
Note: Natural variations in handwoven and handcrafted products (such as slight color differences, minor weaving irregularities, or natural silk marks) are not considered defects.
4. How to Initiate a Return
To initiate a return, please follow these steps:
- Contact our customer support through the website or email within 7 days of delivery
- Provide your order number, reason for return, and product photos
- Our team will review your request within 24-48 hours
- If approved, we will share return shipping instructions and pickup details
- Pack the product securely with all original tags and packaging
- Hand over the package to our logistics partner during pickup
5. Return Shipping
Return shipping policies vary based on the reason for return:
- Defective/Damaged Products: We cover return shipping costs and arrange reverse pickup
- Change of Mind: Customer is responsible for return shipping costs
- Wrong Product Delivered: We cover all return shipping costs
We recommend using a trackable shipping method and retaining proof of shipment until the return is processed.
6. Refund Process
Once we receive and inspect your returned product, we will:
- Send you an email confirmation of receipt
- Inspect the product within 2-3 business days
- Approve or reject the refund based on product condition
- Process approved refunds within 5-7 business days
Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used during purchase. Depending on your bank/card issuer, it may take an additional 5-10 business days for the amount to reflect in your account.
7. Exchange Policy
We offer exchanges for products in the following scenarios:
- Wrong product delivered
- Size/color preference change (subject to availability)
- Defective or damaged product
To request an exchange, follow the same return process. Once we receive your returned product and approve the exchange, we will ship the replacement item at no additional cost.
8. Cancellation Policy
You can cancel your order before it is shipped at no charge. Once the order is dispatched, cancellation is not possible, but you may return the product following our return policy.
